Cryptococcus gattii, una breve revisión microbiológica

Resumen

Se efectuó una búsqueda en bases de datos y metabuscadores como Pubmed, Scielo y Google Scholar, por medio del uso de los operadores booleanos y términos DECS o MESH registrados (Meningitis, Cryptococcal) AND (Cryptococcosis), de acceso libre, en últimos 10 años, seleccionado aquellos que cumplieran los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, que analizaran el agente C. Gattii, con el objetivo de realizar una revisión acerca de este microorganismo desde el punto de vista microbiológico, para esclarecer el conocimiento acerca de este agente micótico relativamente desconocido por profesionales sanitarios. Debido a los escasos documentos obtenidos de la búsqueda se amplió a otras fuentes de datos, para recabar información acerca de C. gattii.
