Abstract
Me permito expresar algunas consideraciones críticas respecto al artículo titulado "Actualización en el manejo y tratamiento de la preeclampsia: Artículo de Revisión" por Flores Barrera et al., publicado en Ciencia Ecuador (2024, 6(27), 1-21, https://doi.org/10.69825/cienec.v6i27.244). Aunque el artículo ofrece una visión exhaustiva sobre el manejo de la preeclampsia, se identifican varios aspectos que podrían mejorarse para aumentar la solidez y aplicabilidad de sus conclusiones.
En primer lugar, la revisión adolece de la aplicación del protocolo PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses), fundamental para asegurar la transparencia y reproducibilidad en revisiones sistemáticas. La falta de esta metodología limita la evaluación rigurosa del proceso de selección de estudios, incluyendo los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, y los métodos para minimizar sesgos de selección y publicación. Estos aspectos son esenciales para garantizar la integridad de la revisión y la validez de las conclusiones derivadas (1).
