Sexual risk behaviours on student nurses

Introduction: risky sexual behavior among young people is a factor for pregnancy and STDs. Materials and methods: a descriptive, cross-sectional, field study was carried out among nursing students. Results: The average age at the beginning of active sexual life was between 15 and 19 years in 65% of cases; 50% reported not having used a condom at the beginning of sexual intercourse; at the time of the study, 64.4% reported having one stable sexual partner; 50% did not use condoms with their partner; 42.7% reported not using condoms; 53.8% had used hormonal contraceptives; 71.3% had experienced sexual intercourse under the influence of alcohol. Conclusions: a series of risky behaviors were observed among the respondents, which began in adolescence and tend to be maintained over time.
