English corrections

To facilitate proper peer review of your manuscript, it is essential that it be submitted in grammatically correct English. Professional editing will allow reviewers and future readers to more easily read and evaluate the content of submitted manuscripts. All accepted manuscripts undergo language editing, however, an additional fee will be charged to the authors if the Editorial Office has to make very extensive corrections in English: the price is according to the service given by the person making the correction prior to publication.

Initial checks

All submitted manuscripts received by the Editorial Office will be reviewed by the section editor or the professional internal general editor to determine whether they are properly prepared and comply with the journal's ethical policies. Manuscripts that do not conform to the journal's ethics policy or do not meet the journal's standards will be rejected prior to peer review. Manuscripts that are not properly prepared will be returned to the authors for review and resubmission. After these checks, the section editor will consult with the journal's general editor or associate editors to determine whether the manuscript conforms to the journal's scope and is scientifically sound. No judgement will be made on the potential impact of the work at this stage. Rejection decisions at this stage will be verified by the Managing Editor (response time is 10 days).
