Vol. 4 No. 1 (2022): From the middle of the Globe

The Republic of Ecuador is a small country of South American country with a rich history of contributions to science. The mission undertaken by the German explorer Alexander von Humboldt in 1736 was the great stimulus for the change in the role of science and scientists in the development of the country. This is commemorated in the monument to the middle of the globe, in which the effigies of those who carried out research and generated the impetus, that even today, the different researchers struggle to finance and carry out the studies that can allow the progress of the nation.
